About Mikel G. Edwards

Mikel G. Edwards has developed Business Leadership Strategies which reduce the cost of Managing Cultural Differences.  Mr. Edwards has taught and worked in the area of global management.   Over the last 25 years he has traveled extensively through East and Southeast Asia as well as throughout China on business and industrial consulting projects.   He has resided in Asia for extended periods on seven different occasions.

A former program officer at the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations in New York, Mr. Edwards was also a branch officer for East Asia/Pacific Exchange programs at the United States Information Agency in Washington, D.C.  In those capacities he was responsible for high level discussions and training programs for managers and educators from China, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Edwards holds a doctorate from Columbia University, where his focus was on industrial development and management training.  He has taught at a number of institutions in the United States and Asia.  He has worked for the U.S. Department of State at the American Embassy in Beijing as well as conducted global management training in a number of major corporations.  He currently lives along the Puget Sound of Washington State.
